Madikeri: A VHP activist died in a clash that erupted in Madikeri over celebration of Tipu Jayanti on Tuesday, November 10.

Kuttappa(50), who was injured in the violent clashes that erupted while opposing the state government’s move to celebrate Tipu birth anniversary breathed his last at the hospital. Two others were injured. Cops resorted to lathi charge to disperse the crowd.

A youth was also injured in firing. He was rushed to a local hospital.
