Assistant Director of Social Welfare Department, Mayadevi Galgali

Madikeri: In a raid conducted by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) police, an assistant director of the Social Welfare Department was caught red-handed while receiving a bribe, here on Thursday, November 15.

In the raid conducted, Assitant Director of Social Welfare Department, Kodagu, Mayadevi Galgali was caught along with two other staff members Haudappa and Mohan Gowda.

A case of atrocity was filed with Mayadevi by a complainant named Nalini.

In order to solve the case, Mayadevi demanded a bribe of Rs 25,000. Based on an accurate information regarding the deal, the ACB police laid a trap and caught Mayadevi in the act.
