Madikeri: the India Meteorological Department (MIT) has reported that there might be heavy rain in South India from the evening of April 27 to April 30, due to low pressure in the eastern part of Indian Ocean and northern eastern part of Bay of Bengal.

The Kodagu District Administration has asked the people to stay in safe places and take necessary precautionary measures citing the forecast.

Meanwhile, there are also reports from the MIT that hurricane ‘Fanny’ might hit Tamil Nadu after April 30 or May 2, resulting in heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and coastal Karnataka.
