Shivamogga: The Bharatiya Janata Dal (BJP) candidate for Shivamogga Lok Sabha constituency B Y Raghavendra has expressed confidence that he is confident of winning the election with a margin of 1 lakh to 1.5 lakh votes.

Speaking at a press conference, Raghavendra said that there was Modi wave in Shivamogga because of which he wo,uld surely win the election.

When told that even Madhu Bangarappa was confident of winning the election, Raghavendra said, “I am speaking in a press conference four days after the election. During this period, I have held meetings with the BJP booth level activists and also the members and leaders of the party. I am not speaking without confirmed information. I will win the election.”

Speaking about the Income Tax raids, Raghavendra said, “The opposition is blaming that the BJP orchestrated the I-T raids. But the I-T department has raided the residences of BJP leaders and their associates also. BJP leader Gurumurthy’s Sagar residency has been raided. Angadi and Sriramulu’s relatives’ residences also have been raided just days before the election. Blaming the BJP for the raids is baseless.”
