Madikeri: Nehal Ganapathy, son of late DySP has accepted the ‘B’ report submitted to the government by CID and has withdrawn from the case on September 29.

With his sudden decision, the case has taken a different turn. However, he appealed to the court that his grandfather and three of his family members should be considered plaintiffs.

It may be recalled, the state CID had submitted the ‘B’ report on September 19 and the JMFC court had given time to the family members till September 29 to raise their objections to it. Soon after, Nehal Ganapathy appeared in the court with his advocate and accepted the CID ‘B’ report and confirmed that he was not inclined to push the case further. In his appeal, however, he requested the court to make his grandfather, Kushalppa and three other family members namely, Ponnamma, Machaiah and Sabitha, plaintiffs.

The JMFC judge Annapurneshwari after hearing Nehal’s appeal adjourned the court proceedings till October 24.

Late DySP’s father Kushalppa is ready to move to the SC

Responding to his grandson’s decision, Kushalppa, father of late DySP Ganpathy said he is ready to go to the supreme court to get justice for his son as he felt the investigation report was faulty and did not contain any details about his mobile phone, laptop and ATM card which were in his possessions before he ended his life.

Late DySP Ganapathy’s brother, Machiah confirmed that he was not aware of Nehal’s decision. It became a huge gathering in the court premises when Nehal’s FIR minister K J George’s stepping down and the government transferring two other senior police officials Mohanty and AM Prasad before he committed suicide, fanned the fire.
