Mangaluru: A week long ‘Beary Language Day’ will be conducted by Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy starting from October 3.
Dakshina Kannada District Wakf Advisory Committee President S M R Rasheed will be inaugurating ‘Beary Language Day’ at the Academy office in Attavar. B A Mohammad Haneef, President of Beary Academy said there will be a string of events to be conducted for a week to bring unity among the Beary speaking people living in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasargod Districts.

October 3 – Inauguration of Beary Language Day, vehicle rally flag off and book release.
October 4 – ‘Beary Basha Sangama’ at Pingara Auditorium, Padubidri.
October 5 – Beary epigram and limericks competition at the Academy Hall in Attavar.
October 6 – Karnataka – Kerala Beary speakers programme in B S S College, Kasargod.
October 7 – Continuation of the programmes
October 8 – Interactive session with Devraj Urs and award winner B A Moideen at Srinivas Hotel.
October 9 – Valedictory ceremony in Town Hall.
Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy President Janaki M Brahmavar will launch the rally with a flag off ceremony, while the Beary language handbook will be released by Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy President Roy Castelino.
