Madikeri: In a horrific incident, a man from Aalooru Siddapura village has murdered his paternal uncle and aunt, and later committed suicide, on Wednesday evening, March 27.

Property dispute is said to be the reason behind the incident.

The deceased are iddentified as retd. police officer Soodana Ganesh (63) and his wife Mohini (58). Ganesh’s elder brother’s son Dileep (32), committed suicide after killing his uncle and aunt.

Reportedly, issues relating to property was going on between the families of both Ganesh and Dileep. However, things took an ugly turn on Wednesday evening, when Dileep mercilessly severed Ganesh’s head, and also Mohini’s when she attempted to stop him. Dileep also attacked Ganesh’s son Harshith (23), who is gravely injured, and has been admited to hospital. After the horrific incident, Dileep has hanged himself in Ganesh’s house.

A complaint has been registered in Shanivarasanthe police station. Circle inspector, Nanjunde Gowda and Inspector, Thimma Shetty rushed to the spot and assessed the situation. An investigation is on.
