Madikeri: A man was recently honey-trapped and duped to the tune of Rs 3.80 lakhs. The Kodagu district crime branch has successfully arrested six of the accused, including a young woman, in connection with the case.

The arrested are identified as Mohammed Azharuddin (24), Abubakar Siddique (33), Hasenar alias Acchu (27), Irshad Ali (27), A A Sameer (28) and a female college student. The police recovered Rs 1 lakh from the arrested accused.

A total of 10 people have been accused in connection with the case. The police are now on the hunt for the other four culprits, including the main accused.

Two separate cases have been registered at the Napoklu police station and further investigation is underway, said Kodagu district Superintendent of Police Dr Suman D Pennekar.
