Madikeri: The JMFC court on Monday deferred the hearing of DYSP Ganapathi suicide case to April 15 next. The CID had submitted a B report on September 18 last, exonerating former minister K J George, IPS officers Pranab Mohanty and A M Prasad.
The complainant Nehal Ganapathy, son of deceased Ganapathy had told the court that he would not challenge the B report as court proceedings would hamper his education.
Ganapathi’s parents M K Kushalappa, Ponnamma, brother M K Kushalappa and sister Sabitha filed an application praying to court to include them as applicants.
On April 3, judge Annapoorneshwari inducted all the four as complainants and gave time till April 10 to file objections against B report. Today M K Kushalappa pleaded with the court to give additional time to file objection as they were not prepared. The court granted time till April 15 and deferred the hearing.
