Madikeri: JDS suffered a big set back in Kodagu district with its senior-most leader BA Jeevijaya quitting the party.
He is likely to join the Congress.

According to the sources, Jeevijaya, a former minister and MLA are upset with the party state leadership over its decision to appoint KM Ganesh as the JDS district unit president. Jeevijaya alleged that Ganesh played a major role in his defeat in Madikeri constituency in the 2018 assembly election.

“Jeevijaya called a meeting of his supporters on Tuesday at Madikeri. If he quits the party it will be a big set back as he is the only mass leader in the party district unit,” said a JDS leader.
