Mysuru: A male leopard that had hunted down over 45 domestic animals was finally caught on Friday, April 1.

The leopard had become a nightmare in and around Nanjangud taluk.

The leopard had killed over 45 domestic animals in Kundegala village in the taluk. However, it fell into a trap laid by farmer Nagaraj with the help of forest officials in his land on Thursday night.

The people of the village who were living in fear due to the leopard menace have heaved a sigh of relief.

Soon after the leopard was caught, the locals protested as the forest officials delayed to reach the spot.
