Mysuru: The City Crime Branch police have seized leopard skin valued at about Rs, 5 lakh and arrested a person who tried to sell it in the city.

The accused is, Krishna alias Sannu, 29, of Karawara taluk. His accomplice absconded. A complaint was lodged in  the Lakshmipuram Police Station.

The operation was conducted by CCB personnel including H T Sunil Kumar, K C Prakash, Mohemmed Hasmathkhan, PSI Jayasheelan, and constables Chikkanna and Ramaswamy under the leadership of ACP K Gopal and Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr Shekhar H T.
