Justice Subhash B Adi stress on women safety at Govt offices

Mysore: The Justice Subhash B Adi, the second Upalokayukta in Karnataka, addressed the issues with reference to the safety of the working women especially in the government offices on Saturday February 1, at Zilla Panchayat hall in the city.

Addressing the media personnel he brought up his visit at the Food and Civil supplies department, he said that the timings recorded in the biometric attendance reveals, women staffers were exiting from the office after working overtime.

Justice Subhash B Adi further advised the department heads to allow women employees leave the office by 6 pm in view of their safety.

Reportedly Adi said that officials, who failed to act on the orders (in disposed cases) within the stipulated time, would have to face consequences as it would amount to contempt of court.
