JD(S) to launch ‘Save Karnataka’ campaign to counter BJP’s ‘Save India’

Mandya: JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy has said that the JD(S) would launch a ‘Save Karnataka’ (Karnataka Ulisi) campaign prior to the Lok Sabha elections, to counter the BJP’s ‘Save India’ campaign.

Speaking to reporters here on Sunday January 19, Kumaraswamy outlined the party’s strategy for the upcoming polls. He said that the JD(S) would contest independently and would not forge alliance with any other parties.

He also said the party would announce its candidates list in the following days and that the party will issue two tickets to minorities and three to women to contest the polls. Priority will be given to backward communities and youth, he informed. The party’s national President H D Deve Gowda will announce the list, he added.
