Mysuru: An elephant died of starvation after falling into a ditch in Thithimathi Forest area.

In the incident the elephant had reportedly broken its leg and hence remained inside the ditch. Since it could not come out of the ditch, it starved and finally died at Kesuvinakere of Chennangi division.

The carcass of the elephant was pulled out with the help of tamed elephants like Bheema and Krishna in presence of forest officials and then forwarded for Post Mortem.
