Mysuru: “India should also take part and contribute to medical research” said K S Rangappa Vice chancellor, University of Mysore.

Speaking at the AIDS awareness programme conducted by Gandhi Studies University of Mysore, he said other countries like Japan and Korea are conducting research on various diseases like Ebola and few others, so India can also contribute to the medical field.
Speaking on AIDS patients he said that society should be supportive to those patients as they are also a part of society.
Chief guest K T Shiva Prasad said that the AIDS patients should be respected and help them in leading their life happily.
Prostitution should not legalised and should be banned in order to prevent spreading HIV in India. he added.
Many drawing which carried AIDS awareness messages were displayed at the programme venue.
