Kushalnagar: A crocodile that appeared on Monday December 30 in the River Cauvery has horrified the residents at Balugodu village  near Kushalnagar in Kodagu district.

People from even neighbouring villages thronged the river bank to get a glimpse of the reptile. The villagers feared letting their cattle near the river as rumours were doing the rounds that there were numerous crocodiles in the waters. 

The panic among the people continues as the crocodile surfaced above the water. The officials are yet to be informed and further details are awaited.
