Mysuru: While the much-awaited counting for the bypolls in Nanjangud and Gundlupet Assembly has begun today, hotels in the district have cashed in on the same to entertain its customers.
Big screens, Kamsale and drum beats were arranged for customers at Hotel Siddhartha during the counting process.
Currently, the Congress has taken a early lead in both the assembly segments.
The by-poll in Gundlupet and Nanjangud was necessitated following the death of cooperation minister H S Mahadev Prasad in January. and resignation of ex-Congress leader and revenue minister Srinivas Prasad. Prasad is contesting in the bypolls on a BJP ticket against Congress candidate Kalale Keshavamurthy.
