Hotel and Travel Association urges govt to make Yaduveer brand ambassador to promote Mysuru tourism

Mysuru: Mysuru Travels Association and Hotel Owners Association requested the government to name Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar as the brand ambassador to promote Mysuru tourism.

During the World Tourism Day celebrations at Hotel Owners Association auditorium on Tuesday, Yaduveer said “Mysuru palace is the best, according to me, no human can match up to it. I am very thankful and humble that they (Hotel and Travel association) want me to be the brand ambassador for them. First, let the government send such proposal and later I will think about it”.

Narayanagowda, the President of Mysuru Hotel Owners Association requested MLA Vasu to bring to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s notice and make Yaduveer the brand ambassador to promote Mysuru tourism. “On the lines of Gujarat where Amitabh Bachan is their ambassador to promote Gujarat tourism, the state government should make Yaduveer the brand ambassador of Mysuru to promote tourism. If such a decision is taken at the earliest by the government, definitely Mysuru tourism will further improve” added Narayanagowda. MLA Vasu assured to bring this to the notice of the government.

On the occasion, the organisers also honoured former corporation commissioner CG Betsurmath who was instrumental in getting Mysuru city the tag of the cleanest city, for two consecutive years. The organisers also honoured H Kushi for her achievement in yoga, ML Shivaprakash who is working in Sandesh, The Prince as Marketing Manager without taking a leave for the past many years, Mehboob Baig, Proprietor of Super Travels and P Kallesh, Head Constable of Devaraja Traffic Police Station.
