Helmetless bike rider tries to escape from traffic cops; suffers fall

Mysore: A bike rider sustained injuries after he fell from his bike in his haste to escape from the  Traffic Police who signalled him to stop as he was talking on his mobile phone while riding and was also not wearing a helmet. The incident was reported on Monday July 14 night. The injured bike rider is Yamanna of Hosahundi village.

The Traffic Police who were on an inspection spree near the Basaveshwara Circle had stopped Yamanna who came that way. But he instead tried to zoom forth and  eventually fell down. He suffered injuries on his face and hands and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.

Agitated public gathered around and started blaming the traffic cops. The Krishnaraja station police personnel who rushed to the spot brought the situation under control.
