Mysuru: Recalling his mediation between the KSRTC employees and erstwhile BJP government, JDS state President and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy offered an olive branch to both striking KSRTC employees and the government by willing to mediate on the issue to solve the problem.

Talking to media persons in Mysuru he said, enforcing ESMA is not the solution at this juncture as it will lead to more problems. The government which has provided many ‘fortune schemes‘since it came to power, has given a new ‘fortune’ for KSRTC employees to end their lives by not taking correct measures at the right time. He recalled his mediation role when the BJP government faced similar problem when R Ashok was the transport minister where he struck a chord with both KSRTC employees and the then government. He said he has many arrows in his quiver to find a suitable solution to the tangle.
If the government had acted in advance in January last, the problem would not have reached this far, he said. At the same time he did not support the government move of putting 18,000 employees undergoing training on roads to counter the situation arising out of the strike and felt the urgent need to find a permanent solution to the problem and suggested that government should look in that direction.
