Addressing the young graduates at MYRA School of Business premise here on Monday he said, “The success of MYRA will trigger the creation of further business ecosystem in Mysuru. Mysuru will emerge as a real rival to Bengaluru. The additional workforce in India can spur economic activities and set up higher growth trajectory. Hence it is important for Myra School of Business to re-think how they can contribute to this requirement”.
“In 1992, India’s trade export, import and all its engagement was valued less than 20 to 30 per cent of our GDP. Today, with our GDP more than five times of 1992, the size of our external engagements represents 50 percent of our GDP. Our economy has expanded and globalized in the most significant manner and the dynamics of global economy affects our lives more directly. Success in our globalized world means making world more Indian and India more global. To eradicate poverty in the country, finance, technology and resources should be accelerated further,” added Mathai.
