Mysuru: In a heartwarming incident, a paralysed dog could walk again with the help of a wheelchair after being rescued by a Good Samaritan in Mysuru.

Three months ago, the dog, fondly called as Tommy by the residents of Bemel layout, got paralysed after a road accident. Jambukesh and his family rescued the animal and treated it. They consulted Madan, a veterinary doctor. He fixed a homemade wheelchair to the dog and it is said to be recovering.

Speaking to newskarnataka.com, Jambukesh said, “We used to provide food to the dog. It spent time with us. It accompanied us to the market most of the times. He used to sleep on our house terrace.

“It got paralysed recently after being hit by a bike. We took care of it in our house. We took him to the doctor who assured us that it will recover in two months. We have now fixed a wheelchair, so that it can move around,” he added.

The family has truly given the poor animal a new lease of life.
