Puttur: A resident of Sakleshpur was killed in a road mishap involving a bullet tanker and a car near Ithyardka in Uppinangady here on June 20.

Jayadev (59) is identified as the deceased. His wife Sudha Jayadev and daughter Anvitha Jayadev have suffered serious injuries and have been rushed to KMC hospital in Mangaluru.

Puttur traffic police have registered a case in this regard.

The mishap occured when a bullet tanker plying towards Bengaluru and a car heading towards Mangaluru collided near Ithyardka. The impact of the mishap was such that the car was completely damaged.
