Mysuru: BJP MP Pratap Simha placing his suggestion to solve the Cauvery water dispute said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should immediately call for a meeting with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa; if she refuses to attend the meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi can intervene to take an appropriate decision.

Addressing media persons at Press Club on Wednesday he said, “Siddaramaiah should take a decision that the state government can’t release any more water to Tamil Nadu. The decision taken for the welfare of people or the state won’t stand as contempt of court. Irrespective of our political leanings, we are extending support to the Chief Minister to take any decision regarding the welfare of the state and people over Cauvery issue.”
He also mentioned that resignation is not the solution for Cauvery crisis. “Nothing can be solved by resignation. I can work for the public only if I am in power. If public demands, I am ready to resign at this moment itself,” said the MP.
