Mysuru: In yet another disheartening case of farmer suicide, a frightened farmer ended life in front of a bank after he received a notice from the bank, at Hunasuru.
The deceased is Krishna Nayaka (45) from Maroor village of Hunasuru.
He had taken a loan of Rs 8.60 lac from a bank and private money lenders.
The Canara Bank, Hunasuru branch issued a notice to the farmer asking him to repay the loan amount. Due to this a fight had broken out in his house, following which he left to Hunasuru, mixed poison in alcohol, gulped it up and slept outside the bank branch.
When the customers of the bank tried to wake him up, it evoked no response. Later it was confirmed that he was dead.
Police have started probe.
