Mysore: Our freedom fighters sacrificed their lives, families and comforts for our freedom, and as we complete our 68th Independence celebration, the fight still continues.

The Freedom Fighters Association in Mysore is still striving for basic amenities, even after 68 years of their contribution for our society.
Talking exclusively to News Karnataka, Jagadhish, the president of Freedom Fighters Association, Mysore said that the Mysore city corporation had constructed a building along with a freedom fighters memorial hall in the year 1999.
However for the past few years they have discontinued the electricity supply to the entire building. As per Jagadhish several requests were made to the corporation, but no heed was paid.
The association consists of 45 Freedom Fighters, and is currently supported by an Agriculturist named Karunakar who is helping them out with the electricity supply.
Ranga Shetty, Suddalinga Shetty, Lingayya, V Lakkayya and others are freedom fighters, who still continue to fight for their rights.
