Mangalore: A person was brutally stabbed by his friends, with whom he was said to be partying late night on Friday August 15, at Thokkottu Junction.

The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Yathish a resident of Someshwar and an auto driver by profession, He was reportedly stabbed by a person named Uday and his two friends.

According to the police, preliminary reports claim that the group was celebrating Independence day and they were heavily drunk. In a drunken state they started fighting on some subject and as things worsened, in a flash of anger Uday stabbed Yathish.

Yathish died as he was stabbed in the abdomen area with a knife.  Although he was taken to the hospital , he succumbed to his injuries. The knife was recovered from the spot.

Reports state that the party was organized at Yathish’s house with his friends Satish, Ganesh, Uday, Vikram, and Vinay.

A case has been registered at Ullal police station.
