Mysuru: A fraud couple has been arrested by the Krishnaraja police in Mysuru on Thursday, January 7 on charges of cheating sub-contractors off crores of money.

Clament Arokya Rajya and Clament Anagha are the arrested couple. They were nabbed in Hyderabad after Krishnaraja police registered a complaint against them.

The accused couple was absconding from the past 8 months.

Clament Arokya Rajya due to his lavish ways lost all of his money earned from a tender he was given to run a canteen at the JSS Hospital. At the end of his tender, he borrowed Rs 25 lakhs from one Sayyad Ammid and handed over the tender to run the canteen.

He is said to have taken Rs 4 lakhs from Nagendra who was working at a Cafe Coffee day outlet and gave him a sub-tender to run a Tea shop

He borrowed Rs 5 lakh from canteen employee Tara and denied giving her one year salary.

He had also taken crores of money from a Gas agency, vegetable middlemen and was absconding after having cheated these people.

Soon after the news that he is absconding spread and the tender of JSS Canteen was given to somebody else, those who were cheated approached Krishnaraja police.
