Mangaluru: Mangaluru lad Prasad Shetty has won the ‘Strongest Man in India’ title at the national-level powerlifting competition, held by the Indian Power-lifting Federation from January 2-5 at Jamshedpur.

Prasad Shetty contested in the 74 Kg class representing Karnataka. He was trained at Balanjaneya Gym, Car Street and was coached under Krishnamurthy Rao and Satish Kudroli.

Prasad is the son of businessman Chandrahas Shetty and Shashikala Shetty, residents of Kodialguthu.
