Mysuru: Chandraprabha Urs, former minister and daughter of late Chief Minister D. Devaraj Urs, died of cardiac arrest here on May 3 at a private hospital in Mysuru.

She was 67 and was admitted to a private hospital about nine days ago
Urs, who was elected to the Assembly twice in the 1980s and served as a Minister, had won the Lok Sabha elections from Mysuru in 1991 when, as a Congress candidate, she defeated the then BJP candidate late Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar.

She is survived by son Manjunath and a daughter Anupama. Her husband and a son predeceased her.
