Mysore: Fire broke out inside the Kalamandir here on Friday July 18. No damage has been reported. The Kalamandir is under renovation since the past few months.

Fire broke out when the welding work was underway and a spark from a welding machine touched the air conditioners.

Fire tender vehicles rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.

Deputy Commissioner C Palayya, Zilla Panchayath CEO Gopal and Assistant Director Kannada and Culture Department Nirmala Matapathi visited the spot.
