Mysuru: The Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) has filed a case in the Jayalakshipuram police station against six food security officials for submitting fake marks cards to their department for obtaining promotion on June 10.
Six officers of the Food and Family Welfare Department submitted degree marks cards to the Department for Promotion. The department in turn sent it back to KSOU for verification.
At the time of the verification, Sharanappa and Satish of Koppal, Ramesh G Reddy of Chikkodi, Satish, Kasi M Vali of Sandur in Bellary district, Sivayogappa of Surapur in Yadavgiri district and Mallanna of Shahapur were found guilty of faking marks cards to get promotion.
FIR has been registered against the six officials in Jayalakshmipuram station based on the complaint filed by the Registrar.
Jayalakshmipuram Police are investigating further.
