Mysuru: Employees of the Falcon Tyre Company continued their protests at the DC office on Monday. Hundreds of employees of the tyre company walked from Ramaswamy Circle to the DC Office urging that the industry be revived.

The employees said the Central Government has announced many projects to empower the industry, but FalconTyres is still under lock down from the past year. Protesters say nothing is being done by the Government to revive the industry.
DV Devaraju, President of Falcon Tyres Employees Union said, “It is due to mismanagement of funds that the industry is closed now. The Management has invested funds in real estate in Mysuru and Bangalore. They took loans unnecessarily, despite the strong financial status of the company,” he alleged.
The company has fully shut down its operations over two months ago, employees haven’t received salaries for 6 months. As many as 2500 families are depending upon Falcon Tyres in the city. Lakshminarayana, Treasurer, Nanjunda Swamy, Chief Secretary, B Raveendra, Vice President, Falcon Employees Union were present in the meet held.
