Drive against unauthorized hoardings begin

Mysore: The Mysore City Corporation has embarked upon a drive to vacate all unauthorised hoardings and flex boards that can be seen in various parts of the city.

The corporation had already given a week’s time for  the removal of the unauthorised hoardings. Now, the Corporation Commissioner has instructed officials to  register cases against those who failed to adhere to the order and  have not only defaced the city, but have also obstructed free vehicular movement. Those erring will now face action  under the Karnataka Municipal Act.

The officials have already  begun the task of removal of illegal hoarding on the Metagalli Ring Road. The team led by MCC officer Ramesh has also removed all the unauthorised hoardings and flex boards  on KRS Road, Royal Hotel Circle, Vijayanagara and Hebbalu, The services of JCB machines, trucks and gang men were used for the purpose.
