Mysore: The talks between members of civic body and municipal commissioner related to drinking water woes went awry here on Thursday May 9.
The municipal commissioner had called a
meeting of council members on Friday May 3, to discuss the drinking waters woes faced by the citizens since over a week. The members were not aware of the poll conduct in force and the commissioner was aware of it.

The municipal commissioner stated that the civic body has only 15 tankers that can only supply drinking water to a few wards. The private tankers are not available, said the municipal commissioner. The bore wells in a few wards are not working. The bills pertaining to repairs of bore wells are not paid by civic body, owing to which no repairer comes forward to repair the non working bore wells, informed the civic members.
The municipal engineer Rajgopal assured the members of taking early actions in this regard, besides to dig new bore wells.
