Mysuru: Karnataka Development Programme (KDP) meeting organised by Zilla Panchayath under the Presidentship of Dr B Pushpa Amaranath was held here at ZP meeting hall on Saturday.
The discussion was held on 20 different developmental works which are undertaken by the various departments across the district for the month of May.
In the agriculture sector for the year 2015, average rainfall was 801.4mm and in May the average rainfall was 209.mm and it is more when compared to last year rainfall. For the year 2015-2016 total 200 quintal of Chia and Quinova crops have been produced by 50 farmers this year. In every government offices, hostels and other buildings CCTV cameras have been installed and pending cameras will be installed after next meeting.
The Horticulture department have planted nearly 225 plants in Mysuru city and more than 1,02,695 lakh plants have been planted in entire district. Even the department has distributed nearly 5 lakh plants to entire district in the year 2014-15.
While discussing the Ration Card report for May it is learnt that there are 1,77,560 lakh BPL cards with LPG connections and 3,99,711 lakh BPL cards without LPG connections and totally there are 5,77,271 lakh BPL cards in entire district. Even there are 47,029 APL cards with LPG and 47,594 APL cards without LPG and in total there are 94,623 APL card holders in district.
