District administration organises breakfast for Mahouts, Kavadis and their kin

Mysuru: The Mysuru district administration organised breakfast for the Mahouts, Kavadis and their family members at the Palace premises here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, District in-charge Minister H C Mahadevappa said, “The breakfast event has been a tradition. It is an opportunity for us to meet the Mahouts and know about their needs and problems. They have discussed these with us”.

More than 25 families of Mahouts and Kavadis had delicious breakfast, which included idli, vada, sambar, kesari bath, chutney and bhath.

Later after serving breakfast to few Mahouts, Mahadevappa made time and interacted with them. Prior to the breakfast, Mahaevappa, Mahadeva Prasad, Deputy Commissioner D Randeep, Mayor B L Bhyrappa, and others also met the Mahouts and their families and gave patient hearing to their problems.
