NewsKarnataka-MysoreMysore: As per media reports, Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar of the Mysore royal family had breathed his last in a hospital in the city. But according to the Palace workers he had died while in the palace itself.
According to sources, Wadiyar was resting after his lunch at 1.30 am with his neck backward in the chair. When one of the workers informed him about the arrival of some visitors, he had just shook his head. But when some workers went closer to Wadiyar at around 1.45 pm he was found sleeping in the same position. They were worried and came closer to him when they realised that he had died. A senior personnel of the palace said Wadiyar was immediately shifted to the hospital hoping to revive him, but his body had turned cold half way through.
By the way none of the members of the royal family of Mysore have survived more than 62 years and the last scion too died at the age of 60.
