Department of Archeology holds cycle rally

Mysore: Department of Archaeology, Museums and Heritage Bangalore organized a Heritage cycling in Mysore. The event took place on Sunday 20th July at 7.30 a.m. 

 

Dr Gavi Siddaiah, Deputy Director, department of Archaeology, Museums and Heritage Bangalore spoke about the heritage buildings in Mysore city. 

In his speech he delivered about the importance of heritage and its conservation and preservation. He also shared the responsibility of protecting the heritage treasures, monuments at Badami, Aihole and Pattadakal, Hoysala temples at Belure, Halebidu and Gulbarga, Kuttur fort, The Mysore Palace including other historical structures.  

Hundreds of cycle riders participated in this event, to pass the message of preserving the heritage for posterity.
