Mysuru: It appears that DC Shikha is upset with the turn of events with no concrete action on the complaint row, which was evident by her moves during the day while accompanying the district in-charge minister and MLAs in the city on Saturday, July 16.
Chief minister Siddaramaiah is due to arrive in Mysuru to unveil the statue of late Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar at Hardinge circle on July 17. To oversee the arrangements for tomorrow’s function and get a first hand information on the completion of works, the district in-charge minister HC Mahadevappa was in the city today. While inspecting the venue DC Shikha appeared to distance herself from the group of political bigwigs and was seen moving at a snail’s pace. All of a sudden when the minister realized that she was not around, he repeatedly questioned his subordinates about her. Finally while addressing the media he asked her to join him where she politely refused and preferred to stay back.
The whole incident exposed her displeasure at the turn of events where no action has taken place ever since she lodged a complaint against K Marigowda, a close confidant of CM Siddaramaiah.
HC Mahadevappa asks media to trace Marigowda
Ruling out political interference in the ongoing police investigations, Minister HC Mahadevappa said that none is above law. He clarified that he has no whereabouts of Marigowda who is absconding and asked mediapersons to trace him so that he could take further action.
It may be recalled that DC Shikha had lodged a complaint against K Marigowda, former ZP president for verbally abusing and threatening her at a government guest house during the CM’s visit to the city to attend an Ifthar meet. During last week, she had even visited Talacauvery (Birthplace of river Cauvery) seeking divine intervention based on the tips given by renowned astrologer Bhanuprakash Sharma who is close to her family. She was accompanied by her husband Nagabhushan, DC of Mandya and the astrologer during that visit.
With Marigowda absconding and astrologer’s predictions not working, DC Shikha’s reluctant moves are a clear indication of her displeasure against the system in which she has a prime role to play!
