Mysuru: The Mysore Palace Board has restricted entry for visitors into the palace on few days during Navarathri and thereafter. During this period, the royal family will be holding traditional rituals.
Entry was restricted this morning between 10 am and 1 pm where visitors were allowed in the basement and areas surrounding the palace. The palace staff was busy assembling the golden throne during this period, it is gathered.
On September 21, Scion Yaduveer Krishnadatta Wodeyar will be holding a private Durbar. On that day, visitors will be allowed only till 1.30 pm to see the palace.
On September 29, entry is restricted on account of Ayudha Puja within the place precincts and the rituals are likely to begin with Chandika Homa at 6.15 am in the morning on that day.
Next day, visitors will not be allowed on account of Vijaya Dashami.
On October 14, visitors will not be allowed as the rituals associated with dismantling the golden throne will be held in the morning between 10.45 am and 11.45 am.
