Mysore: The city of palaces is gearing up for Dasara-2014 as the district administration has started with the beautification of the city.With reference to the same the District Minister V Srinivasa Prasad, accompanied by officials on August 13 inspected the surroundings.
Road issues where brought to the notice of the minister on the occasion. The minister instructed to fill all potholes and repair the roads which are in bad state in turn posing a threat to motorists and pedestrians.
During his inspection of the Town Hall premises where works on construction of a multi-level parking facility is going on in a snail pace, Prasad told media persons that MCC officials had been instructed to complete the works of repairing the roads.
A representative of Chabbra’s Associates of Secunderabad which has been entrusted with the work of renovating the interiors of Town Hall told the Minister that only the works of putting gup chairs inside the auditorium were pending and assured that the remaining works would be completed before Dasara.
The representatives explained to the delegation of officials that works on Raja Marga till Government Ayurveda College Circle would be completed soon.
The Bannimantap, Jodithenginamara road and the UGD near Railway junction in Yadavagiri were also inspected.
MLA Vasu, DC C.Shikha, MUDA Commissioner S Palaiah, MCC Commissioner PG Ramesh and other MCC officials accompanied the Minister.
