Mysuru: In a rare move, the Congress supporters themselves have warned CM Siddaramaiah of starting ‘Criminal Hatao, Congress Bachao’ campaign, after a person with criminal credentials was fielded as candidate for Graduates’ constituency (South).

This time, M Lakshman, a strong aspirant for Congress ticket for South Graduates constituency was denied ticket and M Ravindra was given a chance. Ravindra, as per sources, not just has criminal background, but does not even have preliminary membership of the party.

Raged by this, a section of Congress leaders and supporters of Lakshman met and decided to raise voice against the injustice.

Lakshman had contested last year from the said constituency but had tasted defeat. Despite this, he had registered 25,000 graduates over the last five years and had proved that he is a loyal Congress worker.

The supporters of Lakshman have said that if the ticket is not taken away from Ravindra then they would start a campaign.
