Mysuru: A man convicted for killing his wife died of illness, here in Mysuru.
Nanjegowda had killed his wife 17-years-ago and their son had stood as a witness in the case against his own father.
After remaining at large for many years, he was nabbed by the police only last year, following which the court found him guilty and pronounced life imprisonment to him.
However, due to deteriorating health condition, he was under treatment in the jail. He was forwarded to K R hospital for further treatment, where he breathed his last after not responding to the treatment.
He hailed from Keremaggalatti village in Mandya district.
