Commissioner holds peace meet ahead of Ramadan

Mysuru: With an aim to observe the forthcoming Ramadan without any hindrance the city Police Commissioner B Dayananda held a peace meeting for the citizens on Thursday July 16.

During the meeting, the gathering showed concern about the traffic problem in the city and requested the commissioner for a solution.

Mansur Khan said, “It will be helpful if the police are in a civil dress during the festivals to maintain harmony.”

A Christian Priest from Gayathripuram said, “Peace meetings should be organized for the festivals of every religion. Because every religion has their own uniqueness and importance of their festivals

A Bhajranga dala leader requested the police to take action against triple riding, riding without helmet during the festivals, to maintain safety.
