CM inaugurates several develomental projects

Mysuru: Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah launched a solar energy scheme in 60 villages in the first phase of a pilot project on Tuesday.

After inaugurating the scheme in his constituency, Varuna, where the solar panels have been installed for the borewells to pump water to the tank  for the first time in Karnataka, the CM said that in the first phase,villages of Mysuru, H D Kote, Nanjungud, T Narasipura and many other places have been benefited by this. Rs 4.90 lakhs will be invested for each borewell and already the process of installing the borewells is in process. Rs 2367.75 crore is invested for the project under the scheme ‘Niranthara Jyothi’.

“The State government would soon come out with a new renewable energy policy to encourage investments in the sector. Under the proposed policy, land acquisitions and conversions from agricultural to non-agricultural use would be simplified for those setting up solar plants”,he added.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also inaugurated a Govt High Scool and laid the foundation for various development works and heard public grievances today at the Varuna Assembly Constituency.

It was supposed to be a special day for the villagers of Varuna. They were on their toes to welcome CM who is of their constituency. Villagers across Kasaba hobli who came to the venue by 10am, however, had to wait till 12.30pm.
 
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah gave a green signal for the construction of Dr Ambedkar Bhavan in Dandigere, Chornahalli and Chatnahalli, Babu Jagajeevaram Bhavan in Pillahalli, high school inauguration in Puttegowdanahundi, Tripura sundari temple convention hall inauguration, cheques distribution to farmers and minority beneficiaries and many other state government schemes worth Rs 84.95 crore.

He also inaugurated several development programmes and distributed various benefits to farmers and other beneficiaries and held a Janasamparka Sabhe at Varuna village on Tuesday.

District in-charge and revenue minister Srinivas Prasad, Zilla Panchayat president Pushpa Amarnath, deputy commissioner C Shikha and other Govt Officials were present in the programme.
