Mysore: The Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that “The BJP prime-ministerial candidate Narendra Modi had a major role to play behind the Congress tragedy in the Assembly elections in four states.”
After the Assembly election results were out on Sunday December 8, Siddaramaiah said there were certain glitches due to which the three-time Congress government in New Delhi led by Shela Dixit was brought down from power, while the rest were lost due to state issues.
Taking note of the fact that even All India Congress Committee (AICC)Vice-President Rahul Gandhi too failed to ensure victory, Siddaramaiah said, “All are accountable for the results as the party has won and lost many elections in the past too.”
When questioned about the upcoming Lok Sabha election due in May 2014, Siddaramaiah looked confident about the prospects of the Congress.
