Mysuru: In an incident related to medical negligence the parents of a two-year-old Muslim child have filed a complaint against the doctors who performed circumcision on him.
Initially the doctors of Al-Ansaar hospital informed the parents that anesthesia was not required for the minor operation, but when they started the procedure, they administered two doses of anesthesia due to which the child developed complications in breathing.
He was soon shifted to the ICU.
When the waiting parents failed to get any information even after two hours, they rushed into the ICU only to find the little child Sufia Khan battling for life.
Immediately they shifted the child to a different private hospital and the father of the child lodged a complaint against the doctors of Al-Ansaaar hospital alleging medical negligence.
The father of the child Wasim Ahmed Khan has also written a letter to the chief minister and Health minister demanding action against the doctors.
The doctors who performed the circumcision were not available for comments and are found missing.
Police have registered a case and are investigating.
