Mangaluru: Netravati Rakshana Samyukta Samiti has organized a protest rally from Jyoti circle to DC Office on May 16 at pm, which will be followed by a district-wide bundh on May 19.

Samiti President Vijaya Kumar Shetty, in a press meet said that the protest is of the general public of Mangaluru and hence people must come in large numbers to show solidarity.

He said that there is a need to put up a massive protest because if at all the project is implemented, then the district will be worse situation than the dry districts of the state.

Samiti member Satyajith Surathkal said that protest will not stop after the bandh, while it will only intensify after the bundh.

Tulunadu Rakshana Vedike President Yogesh Shetty Jeppu, Netravati Rakshana Samyukta Samiti Members Harikrishna Punarooru, M G Hegde among others were present.
